Inside the infamous Colosseum you will hear the blood and guts stories of the gladiatorial games that went on for almost 500 years. You will almost hear the roar of 100 lions and trumpets heralding "Let the games begin".
Then hear how the Roman Empire was founded as we follow in the footsteps of Julius Caesar, Marc Antony and Cleopatra and descend into the Forums travelling back almost 3,000 years in time. With reconstructions of the main temples and basilicas we will bring these ancient stones to life for you.

The tour meets by the right hand side fountain (may or may not have water in it) as you are looking at the the large white building, the Victor Emanuelle Monument - in Piazza Venezia. If you are able to see the Colosseum, you are standing on the wrong side of the building. Rather a small bus depot will be visible directly across the road.
Your guide will be standing in front of the fountain holding a red folder and/or red umbrella..
