Dear Sir/Madam
I would be grateful if you could pass on my sincere thanks to Ann Marie for whom we had the pleasure of Colosseum /Old Rome Tour on the 6th March. It was only Nicole and I on the tour which made a big surprise from the large groups you normally encounter.
For many years have I wanted to visit the Colosseum and it more than met my expectations. Ann Marie’s knowledge was quite magnificent but what was more impressive was her passion for Rome. It was clear to see that as a tour guide, Ann Marie enjoyed an interactive tour and thrived on difficult questions. The tour was supposed to last 3 hours, ours was nearly four as we were taken on an almost journey of Roman History.
Forget Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator” do not bother with HBO “Rome” - Visit Rome and take a tour with Ann Marie for a truly spell binding experience.
With thanks
David Hidderley and Nicole Hudyba

Marianna: I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you how much we enjoyed out tour of the Vatican Museum and St Peters with out tour guide AnneMarie. We had a very small group, myself and friend and 4 other people. AnnMarie was funny, cute and very knowledgeable. The day we went there was no line to get into the Museum and we were excited because AnneMarie was excited. I can't tell you how much we enjoyed it and I would definitely recommend you to anyone I know who goes over to Italy to use you for tours. Thanks again Jackie Olmsted

Dear Marianna,

Thank you for your follow up message. I have meant to send a note to you expressing our happiness with the Vatican Museum Tour we booked with you on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007.

Booking online, I was a bit worried that we would show up at the designated spot to find no tour guide! However, to my delight, we were greeted by a lovely young woman from the UK who had been in Rome for a couple of years. I'm embarrassed to say that neither Sam or I can remember her name, old age you know! She had blondish/brown hair, very pretty, an absolute wonderful sense of humor, and extreme patience! Not only was she knowledgeable, but very sensitive to what & how much our group of 10 could handle. The intro to the Sistine Chapel, she gave us before entrance, was very helpful. I, unfortunately held the group up by forgetting the time and sitting totally mesmerized by the magnificence of the Sistine Chapel; it was a very moving spiritual experience for me. She took it in stride and moved us into St Peter's for more wonderful information.

Not only did she entertain, educate, and charm the group, she was also so willing to answer questions and spend more time with us than the tour actually allowed. Please check your bookings and send me her name! Oh, also give her a salary increase!

I will gladly let our friends & clients know that they can book tours with confidence with your company. Sam & I hope to return to Italy next year and I will certainly contact you and schedule tours with your company.

Again, thank you for the memorable afternoon and for being so very reliable.

Best regards,

Vicki & Sam LaBita

When we first started to plan this trip, I was overwhelmed by the number of tour groups for Rome. I found Odyssey Tours to have the best selection at a fair price with a professional website. That being said, we had no idea what to expect as we typically do not take tours when we travel. What a pleasant surprise! We took two tours while in Rome from Odyssey and they were both absolutely fantastic. It enriched our experience and we are so glad that we had them booked, we learned so much. Thanks to both of your guides for being so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend your services to anyone. The McQuade's Syosset, New York

We toured the Vatican City on Oct 2, 2007.
We had limited time in Rome as we were on a cruise ship (RCCL-Voyager of the Seas). We easily met our guide, Eva, at the designated spot and time (thank to that red umbrella!).
Only 8 people were on our tour--and we appreciated that. We were easily able to hear Eva, and all the fascinating information she was telling us about this amazing place.

Eva, was wonderful guide. She is very knowledgeable about the Vatican City, the museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. I was astounded at how much she knew about so many of the fine works of art in the Vatican. She was even kind enough to go in search of my wayward husband who wandered out the wrong door of the Sistine Chapel!
Her love and passion for the works of art at theVatican, as well as the Basilica, came through during her tour. We would highly recommend her (and Odyssey Tours) to anyone who wishes to go through this amazing place.

Thank you for the great tour Eva!!

Hi Marianna. We are now back home; our holiday in Italy has sadly ended much too quickly. I wanted to give you some feedback on our odyssey tours with which for the most part we were very pleased. Having Jerry track us down at the Hotel Barocco on the night we arrived was a great touch and gave all 6 of us a feeling of confidence. At that point we were sure that Odyssey was the correct choice.
Rome by Night - bus: This was not really the tour we wanted to do but due to physical limitations, it was the one we had to do, and It was sufficient for our first night after a long and stressful journey. Our time and money would have been better spent on a private tour.
Vatican: Lisa was an excellent guide. We were very pleased. She did a fantastic job. If my sister was more physically able to negotiate stairs and walking, we would have extended the tour by an hour or two.
Ancient Rome: Again, Fiama was just wonderful. As with the Vatican tour, it was only our physical handicaps that kept us from a longer tour with Fiama.
Florence: My apologies for missing the appointment. I did not take your advice on taking the train but instead drove into Florence. We got lost twice and had a bit of trouble finding a parking place for our van. By the
time all was settled and we arrived at the Savoy, the guide was long gone. With no cell phone, I had no way to contact her and explain.
Tuscany tour: We were a little disappointed in this one. Again, due to time limitations, our only destination on this day was San Gimignano and that was not a bad thing as we greatly enjoyed this charming old town. The Odyssey
driver was very courteous and professional however, he was not familiar with Tuscany. He navigated strictly by GPS and was unable to provide any of the usual narrative information about the areas we were driving through or our
destination. When we asked if he could make suggestions on where we might go or what we might see, he could not offer any help. He was simply a driver and not a tour guide. We expected a tour guide.

Things I would do differently:
Cell Phone: This would have been well worth the expense. I am very sorry I did not get one at the start of our trip.
GPS for our van rental: GPS is essential. I naively thought I could navigate with my road maps. This was probably the single biggest mistake I made. In our 10 days in Italy, I got lost at least 4 times. Thanks to the wonderfully helpful and understanding native Italians, we managed to reach our destinations in spite of getting lost.
Tuscany Tour: I would insist on a GUIDE with local knowledge and not just a driver with GPS.

I am happy to tell you that I would recommend Odyssey Tours to any of our friends and relatives who may travel to Italy. Thanks for all your help and please offer my thanks to Jerry and our tour guides as well.
Regards, Charles Gravallese

Just a quick note to let you know we were quite pleased with both your "Irish" tour guides--they knew their stuff and presented it with charm.

Thanks!

Dear Marianna,
Just wanted to say "thank you" for a fantastic tour. Katy did a great job showing us the Vatican and Colosseum, and was fun, knowledgable, and got us through the crowds very efficiently. Also, our driver, Georgio, was very professional and accomodating.

"Dear Marianna,
I wanted to write a long overdue message to you and thank you for setting up the "perfect" tour guide for us in Amy. She was absolutely wonderful, knowledgeable, fun, and took extremely good care of our party of eight. Everything went smoothly from your driver picking us up at the airport, our three days with Amy, and our drive to the cruise port. We felt so lucky that we were in such good hands.
I would recommend your company to anyone that is traveling to Rome and hope to be able to come back for another visit someday!
Sincerely,

Dear Odyssey,
I wanted to tell you how much we LOVED our Odyssey Tours guide, Kimberly. My three traveling companions and I truly enjoyed her tour of the Vatican Museums on May 11, 2007. Kimberly was witty, funny, engaging, and knowledgeable. We took several guided tours while in Rome, and Kimberly's tour was the best, bar none. The level of attention she gave the group was excellent and her insights in the
artwork were beyond what one gets in a book. This is exactly why we seek out guided tours -- to learning things we won't get on paper and to hear from an enthusiast on the subject.
I know me and my traveling companions will recommend Odyssey to other West Coast friends heading to Rome. We can only hope they get Kimberly!
Thanks for adding to a wonderful trip. And if you can pass on my email address to Kimberly, that would be very nice. I meant to send her a personal note of thanks, but can't find her email.

All the best,
Patrick Santana

Marianna,
I wanted to let you know that we enjoyed our short time in Rome and all 3 guides were excellent. We began with a night tour Monday evening that was very informative and the guide (can't recall her name) was extremely nice, courteous and informative. The following day we spent touring the Vatican city with Evan and he was excellent as well, very knowledgeable of the paintings, scultures and "tidbit" informatio that I probably would not have had on a group tour. The last day we were with Lauren touring several churches, Pantheon, The Forum and the Colleseum. She was a wealth of knowledge as well.

We truly enjoyed our time in Rome and a private tour was the best solution for us. Our driver was very courteous and pleasant as well, all were very very nice. I appreciate your offering and if I am lucky enough to return to Rome I will contact you again!

Thanks for making our trip so pleasant and informative!

Pam

Dear Odyssey Tours,
We just returned from our long weekend in Rome and I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our tour with Aoife. She was absolutely charming, extremely informative, and incredibly helpful. Despite the fact that it was raining for our entire 4 hour tour, we had an truly wonderful time. Aoife was particularly good at making Rome's art and history come alive in a way that was interesting for both my husband and I as well as our two daughters (ages 6 and 8).
Please send me your mailing address as my 6-year-old wants to send Aoife a drawing as a thank-you gift. You should also feel free to use my name as a reference or to quote my letter on your website.

Again, many thanks,
Ellen, Michael, Emma & Kayla Finn

My husband and I just returned from Rome (April 2007). My husband and I took two tours with your company and highly recommend them. Our first one was the Vatican tour with Kimberly. She was fabulous. Her insights and \"behind the scenes\" information was wonderful. She truly has a passion for this, and it shows in her delivery. I was sorry when the tour ended. My husband doesn\'t usually have the attention span for a three hour tour; this one kept him riveted. If you\'re reading this, sign up for this tour! Be sure to include St. Peter\'s.
I highly recommend the Roman Forum and Coliseum tour by Klaus. He has excellent knowledge of the time period and the structures. He used a small book to show us what the structures look like now, and what they looked like at their most magnificent. Although my husband doesn\'t usually have the attention span for tours like this, he was fascinated. Klaus has a great delivery. Take this tour!
Julie

Hi Marianna......

We are back from our holiday in Rome.

I just want to say that we were really satisfied with the two tours we booked with your company.

Also, the tour guide, Aolfe (i think) the irish girl, she was really great and made us feel very much at ease, especially after the long wait we had to be able to go in the useums....more than 1.5hrs queue.....but she was great
and gave us a nice and explanatory tour.

Also, thunbs up for the Assisi tour....our tour guide Miriam was realy good.
Also thank you for the great service offered....pick up on time and also Miriam did her utmost to provide us with a drop off to our hotel....though being a bit far out.

Thanks very much for the good service and be sure we will recommend any of our friends your esteemed reliable company.

regards

Hello Marianna
We had a marvellous time around the Vatican and Sistine Chapel with Lauren on Friday 16 March. She is a lovely person and an excellent guide. She was absolutely full of information and obviously enthusiastic about the history
of Rome. I am only sorry that we did not hire her for a second day to do another site with us. We had hoped to use the Tourist Bus on Sunday to get a general overview of some of the sites but unfortunately it was not running
because of the Marathon. We hope to be back in another two years so may be in touch again. Once again pass on our thanks and best wishes to Lauren.

Hi there,
We came to Rome a short time ago and did a fantastic tour with Odyssey. We seem to recall our guide saying that she also worked for a period in Athens as a guide. We are about to go to Athens and wondering if you could recommend a private guide if possible. Let me know if you have any thoughts. Thanks again for a wonderful time in Rome.

My daughter and I recently had the pleasure of a tour of the Vatican City and museum with the most awesome guide, Julia. She was so knowledgable & interesting and made the tour wonderful. She had so much background and historical info to share and it really made the visit so much more worthwhile. She even brought me to tears with her detailed explanation of The Pieta. Thanks, Julia!

Marianna

A month has gone by since our tour but I had to write to you about our experience. My family goes on two trips a year in hopes of seeing as much of this beautiful earth as possible. We always organize some sort of tour at each city in hopes of learning as much as possible. From Thailand to Germany, from Italy to Brazil, we have never enjoyed our experience with such a breath of fresh air as we did with Julia! My only regret is just now being able to email you about what an exceptional guide you have as part of your team. She was more informative then any
guide we have used in the numerous cities we have been to.
She was enthusiastic and animated every step of the way.
Drawing us into her myths, legends and exaggerated stories
to the point we would have believed anything she told us.
Topping it off with her adorable personality and beautiful
face obviously didn't hurt. Throughout the two weeks that
followed our visit to Rome the entire family kept mentioning how they wished we had Julia with us. I can guarantee that has never happened in the past and will most likely never happen again. Please pass along our thanks once again to Julia and wish here the best of luck from our entire family.
It truly was a pleasure having her show us the lovely city
you are all so luck to live in. I will refer your services
with an emphasis on Julia to anyone who will be traveling to Italy. Thanks again for for such a great experience!

During a recent trip to Rome I took a tour of Vatican City through Odyssey Tours. Â This was my second trip to the Vatican and by far the most educational and informative. Our tour guide, Romy, was energetic and enthusiastic. She provided in depth information and made the tour fun and educational. I would most definitely recommend this tour to anyone going to Rome! I just wanted to thank your company for the wonderful tours while we were in Rome. We enjoyed the evening tour of Rome.
It was wonderful to see the Eternal City at night.

I especially wanted to commend our tour guide for the Vatican tour we took on August 3rd. 'Romi' was an excellent guide. Her love of the subject matter came through with every word. She was a delightful guide and brought an informative and entertaining view of the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and the Basicalica to my husband and I.
We couldn't have had a better guide. We actually recommended your company to a number of people on the cruise we took from Aug. 4th to the 14th. We'll never forget our experience. Thanks again!!!

Marianna:

My wife and I, along with our two friends, want to thank you for the wonderful 8-hour tour of Rome that your company provided for the four of us. Ryan, our private tour guide, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and informative. We appreciated his sense of humor and wit. It was very hot during our visit, but Ryan kept the pace comfortable for us.

Thanks to Odyssey Tours and especially Ryan, our visit to Rome exceeded our expectations. We have already recommended your company to many of our friends.

Thanks again, Larry and Linda Hamilton

Buongiorno,

I've tried twice now to sign into your guestbook &
leave a comment/testimonial for you to use, but the
site isn't working correctly. Hence, this email to
you.

I just returned from Rome and heard from a cousin who
had also returned to book your tour of the Coliseum &
Ancient City. We did. We had Klaus, a superb guide,
even in the intense Roman heat. Not only was he
superbly knowledgeable, but he also knew how to relate
the material to two teenagers. His knowledge of
history, politics, economy, etc. was extensive, making
this tour really worth it. We also loved his demeanor
& sense of humor. You are lucky to have him on your
staff. But best of all, he didn't rush the tour; in
fact, he didn't even seem to bother with the time
limit, so we really got a lot out of it.

We liked Klaus so much that we booked the Vatican
Museum tour through him. We had Kimberly, another
extremely knowledgeable & personal guide, again
despite the heat & crowds in the Sistine Chapel. We
really enjoyed her "asides," again showing us she
really loves her job.

You've got great guides, and I would recommend your
agency to anyone traveling. Thanks for making this
Roman holiday an educational, informative, and
extremely interesting one.

Sincerely,,

Pat Dorazio

Hi Marianna--
This is Jodie Russi and I just wanted to take a moment to send you a warm thank you for the tours you arranged for us; especially the one we took in Rome. Evan was our guide there and it was an incredible experience. We really got the most out of our day and a half in Rome, thanks in large part to your role in securing Evan. He did a wonderful job in leading our group, figuring out the most strategic plan in order to maximize our sight seeing time in Rome. He also went out of his way to help us secure dinner reservations, a pub crawl for the older kids, and helped us successfully navigate the vatican on a "free" Sunday! Rome was jammed-packed with people when we were there, but thanks to Evan, everything went smoothly for us. We had a great time and already are talking about a trip back.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks,
Jodie

Dear Marianna,

Hi! I've just returned from my trip to Italy and would just like to drop you a note to let you know how the Sorrento trip with Carrani Viaggi went. We took the 2days/1night trip to Naples, Pompei, Sorrento & Capri on 27th & 28th of June 2006.

In short, it was fabulous! :)

The guides were funny, warm, witty and considerate (I particularly liked how Alessandra constantly reminded us to rush to the toilets whenever we saw one, and how Fabio gave us Italian language lessons on our way back to Rome). The hotel, my goodness, the hotel was absolutely lovely! We had a lovely room with views of the sea AND of the pool, couldn't have asked for more!

One thing to note though, it would have been nice if we had been told earlier to be dressed formally for the Gala Dinner. We were unprepared for it, and had only brought clothes suitable for our island trip to Capri. Quite an embarrassment to sit through such an elegant dinner in Capri pants (no pun intended).

Naples & Pompei were only so-so, probably due to the excruciatingly hot weather. But Capri was beautiful! The Blue Grotto was magical, with serenading boatmen, and Anacapri was so pretty. Particularly loved the chair-lift ride on Anacapri (it was recommended by the guide and we had to pay for it ourselves, but it was worth it for the fantastic views of the bay).

Thank you for arranging the tour for us. Deeply appreciate your help in making our holiday a success :)

Regards,
~amy~

Dear Sirs

I would like to write to say a big thank you to your company, in particular Miriam, for providing us with such a fantastic tour of Assisi and Orvieto. It certainly was the icing on the cake during our trip to Rome!

Once again, our sincerest thanks and keep up the excellent work.

Dear Marianna,

I wanted to let you know that we are now back in the US and we were very pleased with the tours you arranged for us. There was only one problem when CV had us scheduled for a Sunday morning tour rather than the afternoon tour you had scheduled. The highlight of course was the 5 day Fantasia tour to Florence and Venice. The tour guide,"Clara" was absolutely the best. Thanks again for your help.

Allan Tatge

Hi Kimberly, Now that we're safely back home in the UK we want to thank you again for what was undoubtedly the cultural highlight, (and the most fun), during our trip to Rome. We thought the 'Vatican City Tour' might prove a bit heavy for us, but how wrong could we be! The depth of your knowledge and your enthusiasm brought every aspect to life, and we enjoyed every moment from first entering the museum to staggering exhaustedly out onto St Peter's Square. The pain in the legs soon faded, but memories of your splendid tour will stay with us. Thanks once again, Roger & Irene Morley, Boston, England.

Dear Marianna, we have returned from our trip to Italy and we wanted to send a note to say thank you so much for your assistance in planning this trip.

Our guide for the Vatican, Marlena, was absolutley phenomenal. She was educated, energetic and most of all, fun! We had a wonderful time and she ensured that we saw all of the important things. We ended up spending almost 6 hours with her that day and it flew by! We have lots of pictures and memories and we hope she will still be available when we return to Italy in a couple of years.

Ettore, the guide for Pompeii, was also a perfect choice for us. He shared so much history with us and was able to adapt to our more leisurely pace for that day. He guided us through the ruins with wonderful expertise and his stories were very entertaining.

Finally, having the driver meet us at the aiport was one of the best decisions we made. We realized very quickly that driving in the city of Rome would have been quite a challenge for us! So thank George for us as well.

We are all planning to return in a few years and bring our children with us. After the perfect time we had, we are eager to share with them some of the history and beauty of the world.

Thank you again for helping to make the trip a life-changing experience and we will definitely call upon you in the future.

Rochelle Moore

My girlfriend and I stopped over for a few days in Rome last summer on our European vaction. While wondering aimlessly(and with a confusing map)through the Forum we decided that we needed a tour guide. After listening to a few of the guides, we weren't impressed. Then, enter Evan. Evan was giving a free tour of the Forum, and that certainly matched our budget! His knowledge was incredible and his sincere love of Roman History was evident. We decided to join him on his evening tour of the city. Evan went out of his way to give us as much information as possible in the time alloted. But, he always extended the tour because of what was obviously his love of educating people. We joined Evan on the Colosseum Tour and another Odyssey guide at the Vatican. We were grateful to find such an informative tour company and will certainly use it when returning to Rome. We could not have felt more welcomed than we did with Evan. He is a talented individual and a great spirit. Thanks so much, Kevin Rose and Robyn Walpert

My wife and I visited Rome in June of 2004. We were so impressed with the tour guide through the Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel I must admit that the tour was a highlight of our trip and we would not consider our next visit to the Vatican without your guidance. I do not remember our guides name only that she was from Savana, Ga. Many thanks to her and your company. David and Barbara DeFazio P.S. The reason for this late note is that we just recommended you to friends that are leaving for Rome next week, and happened to visit the web site.

Dear Marianna,

Just wanted to send you a quick note to say that we had a wonderful time in Amalfi! The weather wasn't the best, but it wasn't crowded and we really enjoyed it (much more so than Positano--we actually got to know a few of the
people in the town, and since it was low tourist season, we actually saw several of the same people on more than one occasion). The hotel location was perfect--we loved hearing the church bells throughout the day, and our room overlooked both the piazza and the water (two balconies!) Our only challenge was that the reception and the rooms are up a couple of floors and we had a big suitcase with us...

Julie was a great guide on the Vatican tour too--very knowledgable and fun.

So thanks again for working with us--perhaps we'll be back soon (we threw our coins in the Trevi Fountain, so you never know!)

Bye for now,
Betty

During a recent visit to Rome our small party enormously enjoyed a guided Odyssey Tour of the Vatican City & Museum with your representative Kimberly Sommers, as we had previously had a far from enjoyable experience during a tour of The Colosseum with another company where we encountered problems understanding our guide due to the large numbers in the group and our Italian guides obvious difficulty speaking English. We were extremely impressed with the in depth knowledge, information & advice passed on to us by Kimberly whom we found to be exceptionally friendly & helpful and she in particular made our visit to Rome a memorable one. kind regards, Roger Smith.

Approximately two years ago we had our first tour with Odyssey and it was GREAT! In the past week I brought the In-Laws...Both were just turning 60. I remembered our first experience with Odyssey and quickly booked two tours in Rome. The Sistine Chapel and St. Peters was our first and Julie was fun, entertaining and most of all informative. Her easy going yet energetic nature made the lines to the Vatican Museum seem effortless...Thanks Julie Then we had our Roman Forum tour with a couple of side tours to Churches we had not seen, yet. This time with Julia, everything seemed effortless, comfortable, and most of all informative. In fact, I would dare say that Julia was expert in all her thoughts and key points of discussion. Julia distinguished the points of what really was, to what might have been, to what really was not the case. When you visit and tour any country and you love history the saying is "seek the truth" and with Julia we were able to do just that! Thank You! Julia.

Dear Marianna: This is to thank you for all your effort to help Jason (my son)put together a private tour of Rome for myself and 4 friends as my birthday gift. Sept. 27th Mario picked us up from our ship and drove us into Rome where we met Kimberley. What an amazing tour she gave us, she brought history to life and did her best to show us as much as humanly possible in one day. The Vatican,St.Peters Basilica,Trevi fountain,Coleseum,Roman Forum and the Parthenon. Jumping in and out of taxis, the best pizza we have ever tasted for lunch and Kimberley's knowledge and enthusiasum made it a day to remember. Any question we threw at her she could answer with amazing detail. This, we decided, is the only way to see Rome, we were all absolutely thrilled with the whole experience. Please pass on our sincere thanks to Kimberley she was wonderful. Best Wishes:) Julie & friends

Thank you so much Julia and Kimberley for making our trip to Rome
unforgettable! Both of you were sweet and passionate about Rome. Your tours
were extremely interesting and knowledgeable, full of little insights and
amusing anecdotes, which made Rome come alive for us. We are so glad that we
went on your tours!

During our recent visit to Rome, my husband and I went on 3 Odyssey walking tours, one with Evan in the Forum (an introductory tour that introduced us to Odyssey), another with Evan in the evening starting at Piazza Navona, and a 3rd through the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica with Julia. These tours were terrific; they added so much to our enjoyment and appreciation of the Eternal City. Both Evan and Julia gave us so much good and interesting information. Just figuring out the sadly dilapidated forum with Evan was so helpful; and learning about the execution of St. Lawrence on the steps of the Temple of Antoninus and Faustina was terrific. What Julia gave us about the Sistine Chapel paintings was so helpful. I never quite got the sequence of pictures down the center of the ceiling before Julia gave us such a thorough explanation. Also the Last Judgment; also the School of Athens; also St. Peter's etc etc. My husband and I had gone past and through the Piazza Navona a couple times, not realizing, until we heard it from Evan, that it is the site and the shape of Domitian's circus. We also much appreciated his commentary on the Fountain of Trevi; a much more interesting work than we knew. And then there was the Pantheon and all the rest. These two people are terrific; you are lucky to have them and so were we.

This note is to express our thanks and complete satisfaction with our experience with Odyssey Tours on our recent trip to Rome. John, our American guide, for the Vatican Museum tour was excellent. His knowledge of the subject and the way he connected the important artists and their works of art was very interesting. In addition, he was very patient with one of the other members of our small tour group. Complimenti a Giovanni! In addition, our driver for the van transfer to Fiumicino was prompt, polite, and very helpful. We would definately use Odyssey tours again.

Elizabeth Orsega

We are back home now and I just wanted to take this time to tell you how pleased I was with your services. Your guides (Julia and Kimberly) were wonderful. They were pleasant and knowledgeable. We learned so much history and Kimberly brought the paintings in the Vatican to life for us. My 16 year old daughter who I thought would be bored with the museums was thoroughly sparked with excitement and had many questions. Your drivers were punctual. Thank you again for making our trip such a wonderful experience.

We have just returned from our trip to Rome and I want to thank Evan and Julie for making our trip so wonderfully special. We were totally lost in the Roman Forum, trying to identify the wondeful ruins that were around us, when I overheard Evan talking passionatelly about them to a group of mesmerized tourists. He mentioned it was a free tour (what a wonderful way to advertize your excellent services)and I loooked at my husband and children and said: "I am going with him!" After that, we joined his "Hidden treasures" tours that night, and had Julie guide us thru the Vatican Museums the next day. We were very impressed with their incredible knowledge of this wonderful city, its history and art. My 22 and 17 year old children loved the tours, sucked up all the information and elected Rome their favorite place in Itally, no doubt because of Evan and Julie's help. We will recommend your services any time! Thank you again! Patricia Cretella and family

In July, our three generation family of thirteen were fortunate to have Julia as a guide to the Vatican and John as our guide for Ancient Rome. Julia brought the Vatican's history to life with her depth of knowledge and vivacious personality. After Julia, we thought we were probably in for a letdown with the guide we would have the following day for our tour of Ancient Rome. Far from it. John was just as adept in bringing Rome and its historical figures alive to us. The three hours we spent with each went by all too quickly. Each of us in the extended Jones family came away knowing we were quite fortunate to have had Julia and John as our guides.

Marianna

A month has gone by since our tour but I had to write to you about our experience. My family goes on two trips a year in hopes of seeing as much of this beautiful earth as possible.
We always organize some sort of tour at each city in hopes
of learning as much as possible. From Thailand to Germany,
from Italy to Brazil, we have never enjoyed our experience with such a breath of fresh air as we did with Julia! My only regret is just now being able to email you about what an exceptional guide you have as part of your team. She was more informative then any guide we have used in the numerous cities we have been to.
Matthew Anthony

PS Please pass along my information to Julia so I can give
her the same treatment if she comes to the USA

My husband and I just returned from Rome. We had scheduled a Vatican tour with Odyssey before we left the states. I must tell you that Julia was the best tour guide that we have ever had. Her knowledge and expertise were incredible, and we both agreed that our tour with her was the highlight of our tour to Italy. Thanks Julia.

Danielle you were just amazing at arranging, being so flexible and cooperative about all the changes, thank you very much for the warmth everytime I called up. Julia's tour of the Vatican and our trip to Pompei (Currani tours)was just brilliant. It was informative and you wanted to just listen to every word that was being said it was excellent because of the calibre of the guides on both the tours. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Wow! Danielle arranged everything and Julia was our guide through the Vatican. We took everything we learned from her and used related back to it throughout our visit to Rome! Wow! Julia is amazing. A true passion for her subject and the ability to relay the information in an entertaining and engaging manner. It made the Vatican more than a museum but a historically fascinating home. Thank you!

I would like to thank you for arranging our airport transfer on Dec. 24th.
Our plane was over 3 hours late and we feared there would be no one there to
pick us up, especially since it was Christmas Eve. How happy we were to see the
driver holding up our name. Thank you so much. JOAN END
We loved Rome!

Buongiorno!

This is just a quick note to say a very big thank you to Odyssey Tours. Our tour guide - Julia - made Rome come alive for us.

Her knowledge of the art and architecture was simply staggering and her passion for it all was infectious. We will recommend your tours to anyone we know travelling to Rome.

Thank you Julia and thank you Danielle for helping us set it all up at the last minute!

We greatly enjoyed Julia’s tour of the Basilica and the Vatican Museums last Monday. As a teacher of Religious Studies and a C of E priest I was very impressed by the accuracy of her Biblical and theological knowledge – and I owe her an apology! I dared to question her assertion that Adam was forbidden to eat from the tree before Eve was created – and therefore Eve was not really to blame for the Fall. As a mere male I should have remained silent – I have checked the text and she was right!! Now I have to go back and re-write twenty years of teaching notes!! Julia’s tour made the whole day both enjoyable and informative – the highlight of our trip to Rome. Thank you!!

Dear Marianna,

We have just returned from Sicily and have been wanting to send our appreciation for Kelsey's wonderful guide service when we were in Rome. We are also very embarrassed to say that in the flurry of paying, and having only travelers checks we neglected to give Kelsey a gratuity - which she very much earned. I wondered if you could give me an address so that I could send her a thank you note and gratuity. My daughter would also like to send a donation to the cat shelter we visited so we would greatly appreciate that address as well.

The hotel-airport transfers were timely and smooth. It was nice not to have to worry about anything. Our tour to Pompeii was ok - it was full and crowded and our children were the only ones on the tour so we ended up separating from the group and exploring on our own. We were glad to have gone since Pompeii is so extraordinary but the tour service was a disappointment in comparison to Kelsey.

Thank you again, The Gazzolo's

Hi Marianna,

I just wanted to drop a note and say thank you very much for all of the help you and your organization provided us on our trip to Rome. I do not know what we would have done if we did not have Christina and Kelcey to guide us on our tours. They made everything come to life for us through their knowledge and enthusiasm. You have two fantastic employees that made out trip fun and educational. We took two bus tours during our stay and they paled in comparison to our private tours with your company. I could not imagine trying to wander around Rome without either Christina or Kelsey. They not only provided excellent tours but they gave us advice on where to eat and what to be careful of while we were visiting. It is very difficult to vacation in a city where you do not speak the language, and our time spent with Christina and Kelcey were the most enjoyable and comfortable time during the trip.

Please say hi to Christina and Kelcey for us and tell them thank you again. I have already given your name and company to an American family that we spoke to the last day of our visit. They were just beginning their week in Rome and looked lost. Hopefully they gave you a call because their is no doubt in our mind that it is the best possible way to see the city and all of the sights.

Thanks, Charlie, Karen, Kelsey, Julie, and Grandma

Hi,

I was in Rome recently with my partner Michael Kuber and we were lucky enough to take the Vatican Museum tour 4/29 and the Colosseum tour 4/30 - both with Kelsey. We can't thank Kelsey and Odyssey enough for such fabulous work. Her knowledge, her humor, her passion and commitment: all terrific. I never heard her once say "I don't know." I really think she does know Everything! Please pass on our regards to her. I meant to give her one of my CD's as a thank you, but didn't have one on me at the end of the 2nd tour. I'd like to mail it to her.

Anyway thanks! These tours MADE our whole vacation to Italy.

Best, Dane V.

Dear Marianna,

My family and I just wanted to thank you for arranging our tours of the Vatican, St. Peter's, the Colosseum, and the Forum. We had a wonderful time and thought that both Christina and Kelsey were teriffic guides. They both were very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and a pleasure to spend the day with. They really made Rome come alive for us! Our trip to Florence was very nice as well. In spite of terrible weather and a missed exit we had a nice day. Again, thank you for making all of the arrangements. Having knowledgeable guides who spoke the language made it our two days fun and interesting.

Sincerely,

Stacy G.

Dear Marianna;

We had such a wonderful time! Kelcey was a most informative guide, a wonderful host, and a true asset to your company. She made us all feel very welcome. I could go on gushing about her - and I am sure that she has had many, many praises from others as well, but I am sure you already know how good she is!

Thanks again for helping us. I would be more than happy to be a reference if you should ever need one. Feel free to give out my email address if you should ever need to.

Thank Kelcey again from us - and remind her of "DOM"! (details, details)....

Kind regards;

Chris, Michele & Erick

Dear Marianna,

We are finally at home and I want to thank you for all of your help and your patience with my phone calls from Rome. The tours were wonderful! Even my brother-in-law, who is a resident of Rome and a gourmet chef, enjoyed everything! He even praised the food in Capri, which is like Julia Roberts telling Nicole Kidman that she looks great! Our children were suitably impressed and will be talking for many months about the wonderful things we saw!

Rest assured that we will give you a call for our next trip, and I have bookmarked your website for all of my friends!

Sincerely,

Pat D.

Dear Marianna,

My wife and I were so impressed with our guide for this tour, which commenced at 11.30, that we had to let you know that Kelsey was great. She maintained our interest for the whole 4 hours of the tour. Her knowledge was impressive not only of the history but personal details of the main characters, rulers, popes etc. These helped to bring it all to life. If all your guides are as good as Kelsey then we can't wait for our next trip!

Yours faithfully,

David and Alexandria

Dear Marianna,

Well, here I am back at my desk after 3 magical days in Rome.

Much of the thanks for those days being so wonderful must go to you and your team at Odyssey.

Your two young guides, the young lady who took us out on Tuesday evening around Rome and again on Wednesday at the Vatican, and the young man who took us round the Coloseum etc on Wednesday afternoon, were both superb. Their knowledge of their subject was immense ; and their friendly and enthusiastic manner was a real joy. Please convey to them once again, how much they made our visit so enjoyable.

Also the man who collected us from the airport and then took so much trouble to point out all the immediate sites of interest on our arrival was very much appreciated.

We were very impressed by your company and we thank you so much for everything.

I have told many of my friends back in the office how wonderful Rome was, but have also suggested if they go to Rome that they definitely use Odyssey Tours!

Arrivaderci !

Dear Marianna,

I just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our walking tour last Thursday, the 12th. By the time we finished the tour we felt like Rome was a second home for us! The young lady from Savannah & her escort did a wonderful job.

Best of wishes from Sue & I and again, thanks!

Dear Marianna,

I just wanted to thank you. We had the most wonderful time and the trip was so organized and enjoyable to both my husband and our two daughters. The hotel in Sorrento was fabulous! We will definitely recommend your company to our friends as a fantastic adventure!

Thank you again,

Michele B.

Dear Marianna,

The entire family enjoyed themselves thoroughly in Rome; it was just the blend of recreation, culture and history we were looking for. Christina was wonderful in things big and small, including shortening the line at the Vatican Museum for us. Please give her our regards.

We were sorry to have missed you, and I hope you enjoyed your trip back to Australia.

Thank you again, best of luck with your business and kind regards.

Michael

Dear Marianna,

I don’t know how to thank you enough. Ten of us traveled together to Rome September 19, 2003 and you took care of our tour arrangements. I found you through your web site which is very professional. When I emailed you about my group and that one person is a double amputee in a wheelchair and what we wanted to do in Rome, you gave me a very comprehensive answer to help us make decisions and offered assistance to make the tour better for him. We had our tour of the Vatican and St. Peter’s with Christina, who everyone fell in love with. She gave us far more time that we ever could have expected and was so patient with us. You and Maurico met us at the Colosseum and Forum and gave us such a wonderful tour and again far more time. I also asked you about airport shuttle arrangements which you took care of for us. They were on time, professional and courteous. I know I emailed you 7 days in a row because I had such anxiety about this trip and you were extremely patient and reassuring. Rome was truly wonderful without any problems. We went onto Greece and southern Italy and had other guides along the way but over and over again our group would say “where is Christina” “Christina was the very best”. You made us feel so comfortable and welcome. I will be happy to recommend your company to our travel agent and everyone else I talk to. We wish you and your staff the very best and extend a collective thank you from everyone one of us.

Warm Regards, Judy Patrick (The Patrick party of 10)

Dear Marianna;

I want to tell you that our private tour with Claudio was FANTASTIC. Thank you for booking our family with such an outstanding guide that met and exceeded my request for someone knowledgeable in archaeology and history. Claudio had enlightening answers for every one of our questions. Our family spent nearly a month touring from London to Rome, and Claudio brought Rome so alive to us that my kids voted that day in Rome as their favorite day and place of the entire trip. We even went to the restaurant he recommended that night and enjoyed that as well.

Your hourly price was much higher than other companies quoted, but I selected your company hoping that I would "get what I paid for". Certainly the quality of the tour was well worth the price. We took another private tour the prior day with another, cheaper company and was disappointed. I intend to go on the web and give high marks to your company in the "customer feedback" section of websites such as Travelocity, etc.

Thank you very much, and please give my best regards to Claudio,

John in Los Angeles

Dear Marianna;

Just a belated wrap-up note to tell you how fantastic our trip to Italy was and how much we appreciated the Odyssey guides. We had a couple of skeptics in the crowd who wondered if perhaps we were spending too much and not doing enough on our own. After our tours, everyone vociferously agreed that we could never have gotten so much out of Rome on our own and that the price was worth it. Both Kelsey and Julia were engaging and knowledgeable.

We spent most of the day with Kelsey on Sunday and must say she showed us all we wanted to see and more. Her personality and in-depth research on the "pagan" side of town were a combination hard to beat. A very small example would be her explanation of the single column that stands in the forum area. In talking with friends who had been there, they had no idea what that represented. There were so many other examples, I can't remember them all. We got so much more than we would have gotten ourselves. She also introduced me to a Porchetta sandwich at the Fountain of Trevi that was superb. On Monday, we didn't have as much time with Julia, but it was her depth of knowledge that allowed us to see a lot in the short time we had. As an example, she prepared us so well for the Sistine Chapel that we knew exactly what we were looking at when we went in there. I can see us stumbling in there on our own and remarking how beautiful it was without really understanding what we were looking at and how it got to be there. We also would have been waiting for hours in the line for St. Peters Basilica. When Julia saw the situation, she decided to go into the square in front of the church first and while we were there, the Pope came out. We thought maybe it was because we were there, but decided something else was going on. Anyway, we later went back to the Basilica and got right in. Both guides spoke with the taxi drivers and let them know exactly what we wanted to do - their Italian sounded very good to me.

I don't want to go on forever, but it was certainly the only way we could have seen all that we saw in Rome and accompanied by two very pleasant, knowledgeable people.

We will suggest this to anyone we know who is going to Rome. Thanks for your help.

I hope all went well on your trip to Australia.

Barry H.

Dear Marianna,

This note should have been written long ago but reality has taken precedence over pleasure since we returned home. Our photo albums have just been finished this weekend so we have been able to enjoy our trip all over again. You were so helpful with our tour needs and helped us feel secure while there. We had such a marvelous time and couldn't have asked for better guides during our Rome visit. We enjoyed three of your walking tours with three knowledgeable young people, Thomas, Anna & Scott. The most impressive of the three had to be Scott and we would like you to pass that on to him even if by this time he may not remember us. Ronnie, Cara & I were the only guests on his tour of Rome at night which made it extra special. We still marvel at how much history Scott holds in his head and we will never forget that evening.

Thanks again for all the help and we are referring friends to you for their upcoming visits.

Best Regards,
Michelle

Our trip to Naples, Pompei and Sorrento was an invaluable experience. We loved every minute and our tour guides and bus driver were exceptional. My family of four went on this tour and we all took away special memories and historical infomation making this tour EXCEPTIONAL! I would recommend this tour to anyone and the price was well worth it... it was a great value...! Thank you for making our Italian holiday complete with this magical tour...

Dear Marianna;

Andrew arrived back from overseas yesterday, having just finished his travels in Rome a few days earlier. He had a most successful and exciting time overseas and one of the main highlights for Andrew was the tour he did with your company, on his last day overseas, the private tour of the Ancient City and the Colosseum..... He found the tour guide full of inspiring historical information and the actual tour lived up to all his expectations of seeing this part of Rome. (Seeing the Colosseum was a dream come true for Andrew as this was the only sight he really wished to see whilst overseas!) Also, having his guide share a taxi which took them across to St. Peter's Bacilica was fantastic and a great relief for us at home to know he got across to the other side of Rome with great and expert company! This, of course, gave him confidence to get a taxi back to his hotel and eventually ending up at the airport in very good time.

In particular Marianna, we would like to thank you for all your patience spent with our many 'phone calls and email correspondence and great advice and organisation. You were always so helpful, courteous and many times calmed our fears of how our 16 year old son would cope in keeping safe as well as seeing some of Rome's wonderful sights. For example, you assured us that the tour guide would pick up and drop off Andrew at his hotel and that after the Colosseum tour the guide would get a taxi to take Andrew to St. Peter's Bacilica - No doubt, you organised the guide to actually share the taxi with Andrew to the Bacilica. Also we appreciate your generosity of dropping the price for the private tour and not charging more for the extra services you provided for Andrew. Also, providing Andrew with your personal mobile number was most generous of you and when used by Andrew we were told you were very kind and supportive.

Thank you Marianna for helping make Andrew's stay in Rome a time he will never forget and for helping keep us parents more at ease - We knew that help was only a phone call away for Andrew or us at home!

We certainly will be in touch with you if one of our family (hopefully Ken and I) travels to Rome in the future. All the best for you and Odyssey Tours.

With much appreciation,

Ken, Pam and on behalf of Andrew

Dear Marianna;

It is time for my wife and myself to leave Rome, but I had to take a moment to thank you for all your help in putting together the kind of vacation I dreamed about. All of the tours were outstanding: informative, entertaining, and just a lot of fun. Please thank all the members of your staff for their help. My wife and I now have a series of memories about Rome which will last a lifetime. I could not have made my wife so happy without all your patience and help.

I will be giving a report to my travel agent in San Antonio when we get back. If there is anything else I can do to help promote Odyssey Tours, please let me know. It has been a pleasure to work with you over the last few months, and all that work paid off with a vacation experience exceeding all my expectations.

Congratulations again on your new grandchild. I hope mom, baby, and grandma are all doing well.

Sincerely,

Greg G.

Marianna,

On August 14th, Rick took my family and I (Pat, Fred, Adam - 19 and Jessica - 16) on an amazing one day Odyssey thru Rome. His enthusiasm was catching and we had the most wonderful day ever. My daughter, when she came home, was describing Rome to her friends (who had all studied Roman history in school last year) and was insisting that she learned more in one day than she learned sitting in world history class for two years! And not only that, she LOVED it! Rick did an unbelievable job, he left us in awe of the city, in love with Rome and feeling like he was "family" after only one day! He left us satisfied yet thirsting for more. Our only regret is that we wish we had more days to spend with him. But we all threw 'Coins in the Trevi Fountain' so we know Rome is in our future! All of our thanks to Odyssey Tours and Rick for making our vacation so very special and memorable. We couldn't have done it without you!

Pat S.

P.S. We Did make it back to the ship with 15 minutes to spare...the driver did a wonderful job!

My husband and I have just returned from 16 days in Italy. Our first week was spent in Rome. Prior to leaving the US I made reservations for two of your tours, Colosseum & Ancient City and Vatican City & Museum. We had Thomas as our guide for the Ancient City tour. Although he is young, he is very intelligent, professional and articulate. He did an excellent job. His information and explanations added immensely to our experience. For the tour of highlights of the Vatican Museum, including the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's, our guide was Mason. What a find! We couldn't believe our good fortune, she was wonderful: informative, personable, funny etc. She taught us so much about the various works of art that we observed. We loved the stories that she told us about the politics involved in the art world at the time all these paintings, sculptures, art works etc were made. Overall, we were very impressed with the organization and all of your staff. The tours were everything you represented them as and more. Thanks to all of you for making our trip to Rome a delight. We will recommend you to all our friends.

Just a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed the several tours we took with your company in Rome last month. Your tour directors made the tour much more enjoyable than just wandering around on our own. In particular, Mason was superb in her knowledge of the Basilica and the Vatican Museum and her spirit and enthusiasm is a great asset to your company. Sincerely,

We were so impressed by the tour of St Peter's that we went for the full Vatican Museum tour in the afternoon. Please remember us to Genevieve, who was leading the St Peter's tour and congratulate both her and Brooke (VM tour) for making our day so artistically and historically memorable. It was Genevieve's outstanding efforst which brought Odyssey Tours to our attention.

With very best wishes,

To whom it may concern,

My brother, girlfriend and myself were in Rome, Italy at the end of July/Beginning of August and took an Odyssey Tour of the Collosseum, and the Ancient City. Now that were back in good old Chicago and ran across our brochure of the tours we wanted to drop a line of thanks. Our guide was the tall gentleman with blonde hair from England. I believe his name was Rick. I just wanted to say that he was one of the best tour guides that I have ever had. He was very informational and explained things in a way that everyone could follow/understand and made it fun and interesting. He had a wonderful way of making 2,000 year old history come to life. At one point he almost had me convinced that I was walking next to Marc Antony!!! For a price of approx. $25.00 U.S. this was a bargain! The 2 1/2 hour tour turned into a 4 hour history lesson that we are still talking about. Hats off to our tour guide, and I apologize if his name is not Rick!!!, however im sure you know whom i speak of. You could tell he was really interested in the topics he spoke of, that really makes a difference.

Thanks again,

Past and future customer

Jason R.
